In this long frail existence
I am, not by choice.
But while I am here,
all I seek is acceptance.
I may be wrong, that maybe right
but my mind fails to see.
Since you refused to say,
I knew neither darkness nor light.
Tell me brother and be true.
Tell me where did I falter?
I didn’t need glory or fame
I strove to be accepted, by you.
With time came a change
Too many to fathom.
I wonder if it was time,
that made us estranged.
It is only fair I move on,
and give in to life's ways.
But having come this far,
I don't know where I belong.
So in vain I set off again
to catch-up on lost time.
Hoping someday tides change and
in this oblivious bliss will I remain.
